The first picture shows Toplight coach 7740 (built in 1911) stored at Dunster West siding. Storm ‘Brian’ stripped off parts of the cover, requiring it to be cut back to avoid passing trains. Her classic lines are revealed to passing passengers until the Heritage Carriages team can get out there to replace the cover to protect her for the winter.
The second marks a milestone in the restoration of coach 6705 at Williton. The new floors in each compartment have now been completed with protective fireboard, and the side panels can now be fitted. Then the linoleum is laid and the seats go back. Almost there! North Star can be seen through the window.
